Star of Indiana... smoothly swept away the first place trophy, with an 80.20, performing selections from Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess". This corps is aiming for the top five. The pit and conducting drum major were dressed appropriately for the pit at an opera, wearing black tuxedos and long black gowns. This year's auxiliary is dressed in feminine southern belle pink dresses and white sun hats. Star boldly opened with a show of power; spread from end zonen to end zone and from one side line to the other. Their marching and playing was clean and crisp.
