audition information Dear prospective member, On behalf of the Star of Indiana and Brass Theater® I would like to thank you for your interest in auditioning for our latest production. This exciting opportunity presented to you is the culmination of five years of research in producing a theatrical instrumental event. blast! is the title of this new two-hour production which promises to take drum corps, marching band and color guard into the next century. The challenge of mounting a major West End London production will be met with a World Premiere of blast! on December 9, 1999 in the world famous London Apollo Theatre. This is the same theatre that introduced Riverdance to the world and we are excited to have this chance to demonstrate our skills. Marching music has developed into one of the finest entertainment art forms. People around the country are thrilled as they stand, cheer and are overwhelmed by the sound and visual images created by various highly talented groups. It is now time that this genre' and the people who spend their lives pursuing excellence in this field receive recognition for their accomplishments. That is why and what Star of Indiana is pursuing in this endeavor. We have many things to do to get ready for this event but none more important than establishing a professional cast. People and their talents are what this show is really about and that is why you are so important to us. If you are dedicated to excellence, if you enjoy exploring your unlimited potential and if you have a passion for music and movement, you are exactly the kind of person we invite to be a member of our entourage. We have assembled the finest creators, designers and teachers. Mark Thompson, Dr. David Holsinger, Dr. Ray Cramer, George Pinney, James Prime, Wayne Downey, Don VanDoren, Jon Vanderkolff, Jeff Gooch, Jim Moore, Thom Hannum, Michael Spiro, and I have been working on the project. We have numerous professionals that are going to be giving input into this project and we are excited about sharing their talents with you.
